Obama Who?  Oh ya, isn’t he that guy who’s running against Sarah Palin?  And who’s that creepy old guy who keeps following her around anyway?

Far fetched?  Not so far fetched around here.  After the DNC, our town was awash in Obamaism.  I have never seen a boat that was that big get blown out of the water so fast.

Last week I wrote a blog asking what was John thinking.  I guess we all found out.  I don’t think any of us will forget the day Sarah Palin blew into town.  In Lincoln City you can’t talk a word of politics without talking about Sarah.

It was a stunt of course; and so far a very good one.  The problem with stunts is the same thing that makes them so entertaining.  They can easily get out of control and then they can go bad.  And this stunt could go bad a plenty.

The worse case would be John’s demise, with Sarah completely over her head in a time of national crises.  That is hard to even think about, and it has to make you think about John’s mantra about never putting politics before his country.  There were arguably scores of potential VPs that were far better qualified.

Setting the unthinkable aside, there are plenty of other less harmful bubblings that are sporadically surfacing.  Who knows what’s coming next as the media paws through her past.  So far it is enough to make anyone “stay tuned.”

I admire that on convention night Sarah was not afraid to pick up the “bat” and swing.  But did she really want to hit the journalists who command a million barrels of ink?  Or how about her clubbing the community organizers?  Pretty witty, unless of course you’re one of the millions of community organizers.  It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Sarah is delightful to watch, she is likable, and can deliver a great speech.  But as entertaining as she is to watch, she has a ferocious ambition, and her heart beats more conservative than Dick Cheney.  And, word has it, she is a much better shot.

So where is John in all of this drama?  (John, you know, they guy who’s running for president.)  If you are an actor (and these guys are actors), one of the most important rules is that you don’t go onstage with a child or a puppy.  You will get upstaged every time.

So, it begs the question; is this stunt going to plan or is it beginning to veer slightly off course?  Only John knows for certain; but you have to wonder.  As he beams at his newfound success, and scratches his new puppy’s ears, he might be wise to remember his puppy is a pit bull.

His puppy lies and lies. Everything that comes from Sarah are lies. They cant keep the lid on her outright lies much longer. Don’t they realize that there is a thing called video taping? It would be funny if it wasnt so scary!

“So, it begs the question; is this stunt going to plan or is it beginning to veer slightly off coarse?” (course?)

    Yup, it’s getting vulgar.

Palin is a being used as a pawn by the McCain camp. She is grossly under qualified. This is a woman who was the head of her PTA two years ago and hasnt even finished her second her as the governor of a state with a population of 680,000. I would love to see a woman hold a position of office but this is not the one. Women have come so far in the good ole boys club of politics and to see that boys club use a woman like Palin in such a sleezy deceitful manner is alarming. Palin is being used as well as her women supporters. Anyone that is considering voting for the Republican ticket needs to really ask themselves why and is this the best choice for the nation. Sorry but I cant imagine the head of the PTA running the country. She should try her hat at this after he finishes at least one term in office;-)
